Today we’d like to introduce you to Nichole Monette-Mallett.
Hi Nichole, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I spent most of my 20s focused on being a mom, which is something I’m incredibly proud of. When I turned 30, I felt a strong pull to do something for myself—not only to grow personally, but to be a role model for my three daughters and show them it’s never too late to start something new.
I went back to school and began working toward becoming a Master Aesthetician. About a week before completing my required hours, I was offered a position as a Client Services Manager. I accepted the opportunity, finished my hours, and became a licensed Master Aesthetician.
I worked in that role for a little over a year, gaining valuable experience and confidence in the industry. Eventually, I decided to take a leap of faith and bet on myself. That decision led me to start my own business, Labasheeda Spa Therapy.
Now, I have the privilege of working for myself and doing what I love—helping clients feel confident in their skin through services like facials, chemical peels, and microneedling. My journey didn’t follow a traditional timeline, but it’s one that means so much to me, and I hope it inspires others to go after what they want, no matter when they start.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Deciding to go back to school as a mom of three young girls was one of the hardest parts of my journey. Kids want their mom, and when mom isn’t there, it comes with a lot of heartache and mom guilt. Even though I knew I was doing the right thing and working toward building a better life for my family, it was never easy being away from them.
There were moments of doubt, exhaustion, and wondering if I was stretching myself too thin. Balancing school, motherhood, and everything in between pushed me in ways I hadn’t experienced before.
That being said, I was incredibly lucky to have a strong support system. My husband truly stepped up and took on so much of the household responsibilities. He also helped our daughters understand that what I was doing mattered—not just for me, but for our entire family. Having that kind of support made all the difference and gave me the strength to keep going.
Those challenges made this journey even more meaningful and taught me that growth often comes from the hardest seasons

I’m also very passionate about continuing my education. I don’t believe my learning stops with my initial training—I actively seek out seminars, advanced courses, and hands-on trainings whenever I can. Staying up to date allows me to provide the best and most effective treatments possible for my clients.
At Labasheeda Spa Therapy, I offer a wide range of services tailored to different skin needs and goals. These include brightening and hydrating facials, gentlemen’s facials, as well as more advanced treatments like chemical peels and microneedling. Whether someone is just beginning their skincare journey or looking for corrective treatments, there’s something designed specifically for them.
What I’m most proud of is the relationship I build with my clients. I don’t just treat their skin during an appointment—I walk alongside them step by step in their journey. My goal is to help them truly understand their skin, feel supported, and ultimately regain confidence in it. I want my clients to leave not only with better skin, but with a deeper sense of self-worth and confidence
