Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Ferran.
Hi Michelle, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey began in 1998 when I was introduced to both reiki and tarot cards.
My friend’s mother was a reiki practitioner and worked on me a little giving me some tools to use for myself.
A few months later I was looking in the newspaper for a job and came across an ad for phone psychics “will train”. I thought that was hilarious, so naturally I called. They introduced me to tarot cards and taught me how to read them for the job. I enjoyed the calls and was able to answer questions very quickly, generally without even needing the cards. I didn’t feel good about trying to keep them on the line longer when it wasn’t necessary so I didn’t stay long.
I continued to read tarot through the years, but not professionally until about 8 years ago.
At that time, we had just found that our youngest child was on the spectrum. We began cutting artificial dyes and preservatives from our diets and I had started exploring making skincare products.
I started out with an ointment that ended up doing so much more than I had envisioned that I began making lotions, pain salve, lip balms, sunscreen, deodorant, and bug repellent as well. Everything I make is all natural and reiki charged.
It was then that I was asked by many people if I was a reiki practitioner and while I had been introduced so long ago, I wasn’t an actual practitioner.
I chose a course and became certified as a master/teacher in reiki and have since added master/teacher certification in EFT/TFT tapping, certification in nlp and cbt. I am self taught with singing bowls and have a gift with guided meditation.
I have recently created my own energy healing modality of heart centered healing and I’m excited to share the love!
It’s been a groovy journey becoming MyFerrLady with lotions, potions, reiki, and tarot 💜
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s actually been mostly smooth. The lotions and potions have taken a great deal of research and some trial and error, but that’s expected and I’ve had some happy accidents lol. The struggles I’ve come across tend to be burnout doing too many events and being consistent in promoting my product and services through social media, but I feel like those are easily dealt with and overcome if I just put in the effort 😉

Everything I do and make is done with love and compassion.
My products are all natural, absolutely no artificial dyes, preservatives, or fragrances and each have a healing aspect.
My energy healing practice is so different from even other reiki practitioners in the way I’m able to channel and get information, move energy, and assist and guide my clients through their healing journey.
With tarot and my many years of practice, I’m able to see in ways many don’t. My sessions include a guided meditation with the singing bowls as well to help shift what needs shifting.
I absolutely LOVE what I do!
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was the weird kid growing up. In the research I’ve done on autism for my youngest, I discovered I’m also on the spectrum. It was great clarity for me in understanding my lack of social skills lol. I’ve always had a gift seeing patterns and loved doing puzzles as a kid. Really, I was pretty awkward and to be honest, am still occasionally awkward missing social cues and saying random things 🤷♀️
