Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Kae Gillen.
Hi Amanda, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey into this work began through one of the most transformative experiences of my life — walking alongside my husband through his health journey and chronic illness. During that season, I found myself searching for answers beyond what we traditionally understood about healing. I wanted to better support his body, understand the nervous system, and explore ways to bring comfort, balance, and hope into our lives during a very uncertain time.
That search led me to Foot Zone Therapy and the world of holistic healing. What began as a desire to help the person I loved slowly awakened something much deeper within me. I became fascinated by the body’s ability to communicate, heal, and respond when given the right support physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically, and spiritually. It opened the door to a path that would completely change the direction of my life.
In 2020 Pixie Feet opened, my first small studio was in American Fork, Utah. Where I started building my practice one “sole” at a time. In those early years, I was simply following the pull to learn, serve, and create meaningful connection through healing work. As my journey expanded, I moved into a shared wellness-centered space in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Where I spent two years growing alongside other practitioners and deepening both my education and my understanding of holistic wellness.
Eventually, I transitioned into a larger studio in Lehi, Utah that gave me the space to fully step into teaching, mentoring, and expanding my offerings. During that season, my work blossomed beyond client sessions into classes, certifications, community gatherings, and deeper explorations of frequency, nervous system regulation, energy work, and embodied healing.
Today, I am the owner of Pixie Feet Wellness, a Foot Zone Instructor for We Do Feet Seminars, and a Partner and Licensed Instructor with Quantum LIGHT School. What began through Foot Zone Therapy has evolved into a multidimensional approach that blends conscious education, frequency, breathwork, nervous system awareness, energy healing, and spiritual connection in a way that feels both grounded and expansive.
As my vision continued to grow, I eventually outgrew my studio space and felt called to create something even more personal and intentional. That vision became what I now lovingly call “The Healing House” in Eagle Mountain — a sacred and welcoming space designed for healing, teaching, community, and transformation.
Looking back, every move represented more than just a new location. Each space carried its own season of growth, expansion, and remembrance. What began as a personal mission to help support my husband through illness became a lifelong path of helping others reconnect with their bodies, awaken deeper awareness, and remember the light they’ve carried within them all along.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As mentioned above, one of the biggest turning points in my life was walking alongside my husband through his illness while searching for ways to better support his healing journey. That experience opened the door to a completely new path that would eventually become my life’s work.
At the same time, I was also navigating another business rooted in creativity and crafting with my very best friend. Stepping into ownership of Pixie Feet while balancing another passion and business relationship was a major adjustment for me personally. Learning how to build a business, wear all the hats, and rediscover myself in the process was both exciting and overwhelming at times.
There were moments where I questioned myself deeply, but there was also something inside me that knew I was exactly where I was meant to be.
Another challenge was trying to find balance in it all. When you deeply love your work and deeply love your people, it can sometimes feel like your heart is being pulled in many directions at once. There were seasons where I carried the weight of trying not to let anyone down — especially the people closest to me: my family, friendships, students, and clients.
Eventually, I reached a crossroads where I realized I could no longer fully give myself to both businesses. Having to tell your very best friend that your path is changing and that you need to step away is incredibly painful. That season taught me one of the hardest and most humbling lessons of my life — that growth sometimes requires difficult choices, even when love is still present.
Each move from my first small studio in American Fork, to shared wellness spaces, to larger teaching studios, and eventually creating “The Healing House” in Eagle Mountain came with both excitement and fear. Growth often required me to step into the unknown before I felt fully ready.
There were also challenges in learning how to honor my own voice and vision within the healing industry. Over time, I realized my work was never meant to fit neatly into one box or modality. I was being guided to create something more multidimensional -blending nervous system awareness, Foot Zone Therapy, frequency, energy work, conscious education, and spiritual connection in a way that felt authentic to me.
Looking back now, I can honestly say the struggles became part of the foundation. They softened me, strengthened me, and helped shape the heart behind everything I teach and create today. The road has not been perfect, but it has been deeply meaningful — and every challenge brought me closer to the work I was truly meant to do.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work is centered around helping people reconnect with themselves through healing, conscious awareness, and nervous system support in a way that feels both grounded and expansive.
What began through Foot Zone Therapy eventually evolved into a much deeper exploration of the body, Energy, Frequency, and Human Connection. Over the years, my work has naturally expanded to include modalities such as Reiki, Breathwork, Spinal Flow, Nervous System regulation, Frequency Work, Subconscious Awareness, and Energetic Healing, accessing and stepping into the Quantum Field — all woven together in a way that supports the body, mind, and spirit as a whole.
I specialize in creating experiences and spaces where people feel safe to slow down, reconnect, release overwhelm, and begin listening to the wisdom of their own bodies again. Whether I’m working one-on-one with clients, teaching certification programs, or leading workshops and community gatherings, my intention is always the same: helping people feel seen, loved, supported, empowered, and gently guided back home to themselves — to the I AM.
I think what sets me apart is the way I blend grounded nervous system work with spirituality, energy healing, conscious education, and a touch of magic while still keeping it approachable. I never want healing to feel cold, clinical, or out of reach. I wanted it to feel warm, colorful, safe, expansive, and authentic — a place where people could both learn and experience healing without pressure or perfection.
One of the things I am most proud of is the community that has grown around this work. Watching students become practitioners, seeing people reconnect with their confidence and inner awareness, and creating spaces where others feel safe enough to grow and transform has been one of the greatest gifts of this journey.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happiest is witnessing people reconnect with themselves in a real and meaningful way. Watching someone soften, breathe deeper, feel safe in their body again, or remember their own inner light is incredibly fulfilling to me.
I also deeply love teaching and creating community. Bringing people together to learn, heal, laugh, and grow while creating spaces where they feel seen and supported brings me so much joy.
Outside of my work, I love traveling with my sweetheart, spending time with my kids and grandbabies, reading, playing with my dogs, and recently I’ve started golfing — which has been such a fun new adventure for me. I also love crystals and the beauty and healing they bring into people’s lives.
To me, happiness is shining my light with others and creating a little sunshine wherever I go. More than anything, I love helping people come home to themselves — to the I AM within them — because I know how powerful that connection can be.
