Today we’d like to introduce you to Brenna Fox.
Hi Brenna , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My path into massage therapy started with my own healing journey. After experiencing significant trauma as a young adult and having been through a lot of therapy, I found myself wondering: why did my body still feel stuck when I had done so much healing already? That question led me to massage therapy school, where I became fascinated by the connection between the nervous system, pain, and the body’s remarkable ability to heal when given the right support.
As I worked with more clients, I noticed a pattern. Many had spent years searching for answers. They had seen multiple providers, tried countless treatments, and were often told they would simply have to learn to live with their pain. I knew there had to be a better way.
My search eventually led me to Rapid NFR (Rapid NeuroFascial Reset), a movement-based therapy done over clothing that focuses on addressing the neurological and fascial patterns that contribute to pain and restricted movement. The results I saw were unlike anything I had experienced before, both personally and professionally.
Today, I own Reclaimed Pain Solutions in Lehi, where I help people move beyond chronic pain and injuries that have been keeping them from fully living their lives. The name “Reclaimed” comes from what I see happen every day: people reclaiming activities they thought they had lost, reclaiming confidence in their bodies, and often reclaiming parts of themselves that pain had taken away. Helping people experience that transformation is a great honor. I am deeply passionate about helping people not only get out of pain, but learn to be curious about pain and how to better support their bodies when they’re experiencing pain.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. I went to college right after high school and changed my major 4 times before ultimately dropping out because I didn’t know what I was doing and I felt like I was just wasting money.
I started going to massage school in late 2019 as a way to get out of entry-level work, and I realized that helping people with manual therapy felt more intuitive than anything else I had ever done in my life.
Towards the end of my massage program, the world shut down in 2020. I’ll just say… It was not the most ideal time to graduate from massage therapy school! Somehow we all got through it and I ultimately decided to build my own business after specializing in medical massage and feeling burnt out by all the back and forth of what the government was and was not going to allow while I worked for various spas.
Shortly after I decided to go fully out on my own, I became pregnant and had a very difficult pregnancy. The day I went into labor and was meant to start my maternity leave, my husband’s current job contract ended and he wasn’t able to find work for 6 months after that.
Due to the physical nature of massage, going back to work 3 weeks postpartum was extremely difficult. I ended up stepping away completely from traditional massage and decided to only take new clients for the clothed medical massage technique that I had been trained in: Rapid NeuroFascial Reset. It was a scary decision, but looking back, I can’t imagine what my life would be like today if I hadn’t taken that leap. It created an incredible foundation for my business and has made it so that I can help many more people that I could have if I just continued offering traditional massage.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Reclaimed Pain Solutions helps people find relief from chronic pain and injuries that are often mistreated or overlooked by traditional methods. I specialize in Rapid NFR (Rapid NeuroFascial Reset), a type of therapeutic bodywork that works with the nervous system to reduce pain, restore mobility, and improve stability. Sessions are performed fully clothed and are customized to each person, focusing on helping the body function the way it was designed to rather than simply chasing symptoms.
What sets Reclaimed Pain Solutions apart is the belief that pain is often a message, not just a problem to be silenced. Many of my clients come to me after months or even years of trying different treatments without lasting results. Rather than focusing solely on where the pain is located, I look for the underlying compensations and dysfunctions that may be contributing to the problem. This approach often helps clients make progress in areas where they had previously felt stuck.
The thing I am most proud of is the transformation I get to witness in my clients’ lives. Pain doesn’t just affect the physical body. It affects confidence, relationships, hobbies, work, and a person’s sense of freedom. Watching someone return to activities they love, play with their children again, sleep through the night, or simply trust their body again is incredibly rewarding. The name “Reclaimed” reflects that mission. My goal isn’t just to help people hurt less; it’s to help them reclaim the parts of their lives that pain has taken away.
Any big plans?
I would love for this type of bodywork to be much more accessible. There are currently only 6 practitioners in the western USA who specialize in this work. I am the only Rapid Specialist in Utah. I’ve started training with the creators of Rapid NeuroFascial Reset to learn how to teach so that I can offer classes and make the modality more accessible in the western states.
I have met with and mentored multiple therapists in Utah who have started their training in Rapid NeuroFascial Reset. It’s exciting to me that more licensed massage therapists are learning this modality. It is so needed!
