Community Highlights: Meet Spencer Pierce of Mountain Rose Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to Spencer Pierce.

Hi Spencer, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In 2019, my parents were given the opportunity to take over a café in Springville, Utah. We accepted the challenge just as the COVID-19 pandemic began, stepping into an uncertain time with a vision to create something special.
I focused on developing our special events and catering services, transforming the event center from hosting no annual events to welcoming more than 60 events each year. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of celebrating life’s most meaningful moments—from celebrations of life, birthday parties, and graduation celebrations to corporate gatherings and, most notably, weddings.
What began as coordinating events within our venue has grown into something much bigger. Since 2019, I have expanded my experience, knowledge, and services beyond our venue walls to serve couples throughout Utah. Today, I proudly plan and coordinate weddings across the state, bringing the same attention to detail, organization, and passion for creating unforgettable experiences to every celebration.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has been a bumpy road but it’s been taken with stride as learning how to balance wearing so many different hats. From venue management and catering to planning, coordinating, marketing, and running a business, there was a steep learning curve. Every wedding and event presented new opportunities to refine our processes and improve the experience we provide.
Like many small business owners, there have also been long hours, difficult decisions, and sacrifices behind the scenes to make this all happen.

We’ve been impressed with Mountain Rose Company, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Mountain Rose Co we specialize in Day of Wedding Coordinating, Event Rentals and Event Design. We work with our clients to make their days stress free so they can enjoy it to the fullest. What sets us apart of from others is no one will work harder then us to get the job done, we go above and beyond where others won’t. We are also not basic we are so versatile in all we do that it makes the clients so much happier that they have a one stop shop for all their needs.

How do you think about happiness?
I love working with amazing clients, I have met some of the best people at wedding and from all over the country. I have worked with wonderful couples that make the days not a job but that you are working for your friends! I have built friendships from this job that have lasted through the years and love seeing the couples the refer me to their friends weddings so I get to enjoy their presence again and again!
