Rising Stars: Meet Kaden Draper of Utah

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaden Draper.

Hi Kaden, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always had a passion for fitness, but my journey definitely hasn’t been a straight line. Over the years I’ve gone through a lot of ups and downs personally, with school, work, relationships, and figuring out what direction I wanted my life to go. Fitness became one of the biggest constants for me and eventually turned into something I wanted to share with other people.

I started creating fitness content online, originally just because it was something I enjoyed. Over time, I started building an audience and realized I could use my platform to entertain people, share my experiences, and hopefully motivate others along the way.

At the same time, I’m currently studying Exercise Science at BYU and continuing to learn more about health, training, and human performance. I’m still very much in the middle of my story. I’m trying to grow as a creator, finish my education, continue improving physically and mentally, and see where all of it takes me

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve dealt with a lot of setbacks over the years, including losing my mom, struggling to figure out the right direction for my education and career, dealing with injuries that affected my training, and going through some difficult periods in my personal life.

There have been times when I’ve felt like I was starting over or falling behind, but fitness has consistently been something I could come back to. It taught me discipline and gave me something productive to work toward even when other parts of my life weren’t going the way I wanted.

Social media has brought its own challenges too. Putting yourself online means dealing with criticism and negative comments, and I’ve had to learn not to let other people’s opinions determine how I see myself or what I’m capable of.

I’m still working through challenges like anyone else, but I think that’s become an important part of my story. I’ve learned that progress isn’t always linear, and sometimes simply continuing to move forward is a win.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I create fitness content across social media, with a focus on making fitness entertaining, relatable, and motivating. My content ranges from workouts and fitness challenges to humor, energy drink reviews, and other parts of gym culture.

What I’m most proud of is building an audience organically from something I genuinely enjoy doing. I didn’t start with a big team or some huge business plan. I started creating, experimented with different types of content, learned what people connected with, and kept improving.

I think what sets me apart is that I don’t want my page to feel like a highlight reel where everything is perfect. I’m a student studying Exercise Science at BYU, I train consistently, and I’m still working toward my own goals at the same time as the people who follow me. I try to combine what I’m learning about fitness with my own personality and sense of humor.

Ultimately, I want people to follow me because they enjoy the content, but I also hope it motivates them to become healthier, stronger, and more confident themselves.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I really like the sense of community in Orem and how close everything is. I’m big into fitness and being outdoors, so having gyms, trails, mountains, and so many recreational opportunities nearby is something I really appreciate. I also enjoy being close to BYU and everything happening around Provo and Utah County.

The thing I like least is definitely all of the unfinished construction. It feels like there’s constantly a road torn up, a lane closed, or another construction project that seems to take forever to finish. I understand that growth requires construction, but sometimes it feels like the entire city is under construction at once
