Inspiring Conversations with Geni Marie of Bryce Canyon EZ Riders

Today we’d like to introduce you to Geni Marie.

Geni Marie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I grew up in Tropic, Utah, right outside of Bryce Canyon National Park. After high school I moved away and went to college. When I started my own family we moved back to be able to raise our kids in a small town environment. In 2020 when Covid started we got the idea to open a bike rental shop as an option for social distancing regulations in the area. Electric bikes were just starting to become popular so that seemed like an easy choice. Over the last 6 years EZ Riders has been providing a great, family friendly experience for visitors of Bryce Canyon National Park.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Overall the bike shop has proven to be a great option for people of all ages. This past year we hit a bit of a rough patch due to new fees to enter into the national park as well as economic hardships across the country. We have had less visitors to the area than ever before.

We’ve been impressed with Bryce Canyon EZ Riders, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our bike shop is located right off of the paved bike path between Red Canyon and Bryce Canyon. Guests park their vehicles in our secure parking lot, get a breakdown of how to operate the bikes, where to go and what to see. We make sure every guest feels comfortable and safe before they head out on their adventure. We keep our bikes maintained properly and clean to insure the best experience. Our prices are also lower than some of our competitors, making our company, in my opinion, the best in the area.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
Although I grew up in the area, I love going into the park. I often make a stop and go for a short walk before heading home for the day. The views and beauty never gets old!
