Today we’d like to introduce you to Shelley Marshall.
Hi Shelley, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Five years ago, I was an overly busy single mom working many jobs from nursing, teaching ice skating, to catering. Constantly going from job to job unable to express my passions for taking care of people and quite simply not having time to enjoy the outright deliciousness of life!
Staying healthy and happy became my first priority, and I figured other people were feeling the same. So I decided to take a chance and open up Park City Desserts, providing healthy and decadent vegan, paleo, and gluten-free desserts with masterful coffee and espresso! What more do you need really! Oh alternative milk and sweeteners, yes we have that too. Then came Joe, a big part of the happy, who was and is quite frankly obsessed with coffee perfected!!!! Together we made it happen.
Now, we are located in the iconic OP Rockwell building on historic main street in park city where we work alongside three other local business owners. It is a priority for us to support local businesses, women, and vendors who are as obsessed as we are with finding new tastes, perfection roasting, unreal flavor, and decadent healthy possibilities!
It has been so fulfilling to siphon coffee and our energies and talents into a place where people can relax, enjoy, and take a breath and feel satisfied.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth with hills and valleys! Life and work is a rollercoaster… it can be fun and frightening, but we’re in for the ride! Finding staff and supplies has been challenging these last few years, local businesses have been challenged, but we’re hooked.

My background is in nursing and health coaching, so I’m proud we offer high-quality certified organic products and healthier treats. We also love focusing on unique artisan products like tarts and siphons. Seeing other local businesses flourish is also a huge focus.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Being happy with the results of our efforts, and doing it in a way that cultivates something that is important to me and that I enjoy.
