Hi Taylor, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I am a stay at home mom who has turned her passion into a business. I have been married for 3 years to my husband. We had a baby in 2019 and I wanted to stay home with our son. I turned my passion for photography into a business. I have always loved taking photos and capturing moments to treasure forever. When I was in high school, I went on a trip to Portland, OR, and bought my camera. Since then, I loved taking photos of nature and that turned into a love of taking photos for people.
I started my business in September of 2019. It has been a fun and crazy adventure learning how to do the business side of the business as well as bettering my skill. In October of 2020, I decided I wanted to try boudoir photography.
I haven’t looked back! I have been doing boudoir photography for over a year now and I love empowering women to love themselves in the body they have now and not what the world portrays they need to look like!
It has been amazing being able to be a mom and not missing any of the little moments and even bringing him with me on some of my shoots! My clients have made my business a success and I am so grateful for that. They have given me the opportunity to be myself and make a difference in their lives. I am so glad I took a chance over 2 years ago and took a chance on me.
It hasn’t been easy but it has totally been worth it!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has no way been an easy road. I have had to learn so many new things to be able to run a business. I took a mentorship this past year to be able to learn more about the business side of things. I also have had to learn how to put myself out there which is not an easy thing to do for me. I took a chance this year and got myself a studio.
However, it didn’t go as planned and I had to back out of the studio. It was so hard for me to give up but I knew it would be better in the long run.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in Boudoir and Couple’s photography. I am based out of Southern Utah but I travel to serve all of Utah, Nevada, and other states. I love to capture the true love between couples by capturing the moments and making sessions fun and enjoyable. I help empower women to love their bodies with all their imperfections.
I am so to help make a difference in women’s self-worth and educate them on why self-love is important! I offer an experience you will never forget!
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy is the countenance of my clients changing for the better when they start to love themselves. I know it sounds crazy but it is the thing that makes all the hardships worth it!
I love seeing the light in their eyes change, they even hold themselves higher! With taking my couple’s photos, I just love when they get comfortable and love each other it makes for the most amazing photos!
My family and my son make me happy as well. I love being able to help support my family by doing something I love and helping others! I also love that I don’t miss any moments!
