

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sam Taggart.
Hi Sam, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started in door-to-door sales when I was a little 11-year-old.
I sold magazines and golf balls – then when was 13, I started painting the addresses on the curbs, and did that all through high school. Right after that in 2008, I shipped out to Dallas and got into alarms. I worked my way to the Top Rep of VIVINT 2014 and ran successful teams. I then moved into solar as the VP of Sales of Solcius. In the Fall of 2017, started a movement in the door to door sales community and a new company called D2D Experts
D2D Experts’ mission is to “unify, up a level and bring honor and integrity to direct sales”. I felt like there were a lot of bad apples and wrong perceptions of D2D. I wanted to bring more resources and support to the space and clean it up. I founded a non-profit D2D Association to help bring more ethics and transparency to the space.
I also founded 2 tech companies that are supporting tools for the space – Recruitomatic.co and vanillamessage.com. I host masterminds and events to help train on sales leadership and recruiting. D2DCON is the flagship event that just recently January 14-15 we held our 5th annual with over 1700 attendees and 70 vendors.
I host a Top 100 Entrepreneur Podcast D2D-Podcast. Author of “ABC’s of Closing”. And all about helping change lives.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. It was hard to walk away with 0 promise from a VP of sales position, and risk everything. I had zero income for about 18 months.
I had hundreds of people telling me it wasn’t going to work, because of how cutthroat this industry already is. I have hired and fired over 50 employees – and trying to find the right people that really align with what we are doing is rough.

We specialize in training direct sales companies on Sales Leadership and Events! We host over 1000 industry-specific training videos teaching solar, pest, roofing, alarms, and more industries how to sell and train their people better.
We specialize in helping companies build out their own white-labeled training platforms, to have a better onboarding experience. We have mastermind retreats all over the world creating leadership and personal development experiences that help change lives
I have a team of consultants that go onsite and consult with companies on how to strategize their business and scale at a rapid rate.
