Today we’d like to introduce you to Miss Brawling Beauty.
Hello Miss Brawling Beauty, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Clean living, Dirty Dancing.
I started in the erotic arts in the early 90s at a nude club called Paradise Modeling on Main Street. I was 19 years old at the time. Several years later, I switched to working at The Million Dollar Saloon on State Street as a house girl. After meeting a few feature performers like Molly Mounds and Sapphire Blue who came through town, I decided I wanted to travel and work at other clubs on the west coast. That’s when I became a feature performer and was lucky to have performed in several states.
In 2006, my friend Nina La Taunt told me about a show she was in at a club called Bar Deluxe. That’s when I saw my very first burlesque show. A few months later I auditioned to be in that troupe and was excited to have been accepted. Years later The Slippery Kittens Burlesque was featured on America’s Got Talent in 2008 and we made it to the Top 40. That year we also competed for best large group at The Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender.
After that, I left the Kittens and started my own troupe called Vaudeville Avante Gaarde with my good friend Chrystal Cahoon. It was hard a times to get club owners to book us at their venues. Plus we had to learn how to navigate all the unusual blue laws in our home state. Which was difficult at times. Years later, I decided to go a different direction and start another troupe called The Candy Cabinet Cabaret. CCC was around until I moved to Charleston South Carolina in 2017. I became a solo performer after that.
I have been an advocate of the burlesque community in Utah since 2006. My tireless efforts on not only inclusion but friendship, support, collaboration, and providing opportunities to the underprivileged are just some of my contributions to a community undergoing immense growth over the past several years.
I feel my constant dedication to the art and to promoting the art not only within Utah but outside of Utah have caused me to become a pillar for her community in Salt Lake City. Many performers look to me for mentorship, advice, and help when producing or performing as I am often called the “Mother of Utah Burlesque” in many circles.
Through my dedication, I have been blessed to have helped many performers to flourish under my encouragement. I try to constantly encourage all of the performers to spread their wings, fly and have confidence in themselves selves as they pursue their careers in burlesque both within hyper-conservative Utah and abroad. Anyone under my care is bound to feel both supported and seen without question and I believe my generous spirit is never lost on anyone who seeks my help.
I’m always pushing for burlesque to find a safe haven in Salt Lake City and I feel it is critical to its growth today. This year I am honored to be the first performer from Utah to compete for Miss Viva Las Vegas. I have been blessed to be the recipient of numerous awards including:
– Topless Entertainer of the Year 1993 Dallas – Fortworth
– America’s Got Talent 2008 (Top 40)
– Utah Regional Burlypicks: Master of Tassels 2018

As a disabled performer, my advocacy for the underserved and the unseen is extremely important for me. My Service Animal Althea and I work hard to advocate for performers with disabilities. Still to this day, I try to use the knowledge I have gained to continue my legacy.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
No, it was really difficult to convince club owners to book our types of shows because of the state’s unusual blue laws.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
You have seen me on America’s Got Talent and I am known worldwide for my incredible tassel twirling skills.

I was chosen as an Alternate for Miss Exotic World 2022 and I’ll be competing for Miss Viva Las Vegas in April. My service animal Althea and I are proud advocates for performers with disabilities.
Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
