Meet Karina Bingham

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karina Bingham.

Hi Karina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I worked as a dentist in Brazil, until 2016 when I moved to the USA. I had a baby here, finding it difficult to miss my family and friends in Brazil.

Moving to a new country and adapting and building a new life here was a difficult process, especially emotionally, as it is not easy to immigrate. I was here alone, and couldn’t work as a Dentist with its long process. I felt the need to occupy my head with something besides motherhood.

2017 is when it all started. I started sharing my routine, giving tips on fashion, makeup, and motherhood. Not only sharing the good things but the difficulties of life too. I soon created a community mainly of Brazilian and Latino immigrant women who were going through the same thing.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s not that easy, people think being a digital creator is very easy, but there are so many things behind the scenes. I mostly do everything myself with the help of my husband.

I like to make quality content, I had to learn to edit videos and photos in a more professional way, to be good for my audience and the brands I work with. It took me a few years to learn, and I’m still learning, because it’s not easy. All my respect to professional photographers and videographers! You are awesome!

In addition, there are many other things that if I go into detail here, I will spend days writing like working with images, creativity, time reviewing contracts, and many hours reading emails and responding, organizing content, and posting on the social media is almost an 18-hour job hs a day. But I love it.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a Brazilian Digital Creator in Utah.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t believe in luck but in hard work and dedication.
