Conversations with Ryan Stream

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Stream.

Hi Ryan, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When I was young my brothers and I slept some nights in a homeless shelter and in different foster care homes. After two years my brothers and I were brought together and adopted by the same family. We were extremely lucky after being born in the circumstances we were in. Our parents loved us and put the choices in the sessions that may lead them to addictions, jail, prison and sadly a loss to suicide. The things we experienced as children not only made for a challenging childhood, but later in life realizing our childhood is so important for our future development. I remember sleeping in the shack for the wintertime, and also in a homeless shelter and walking around asking for food during the day. It’s one of those stories that will break you, but make you strong. After I was adopted I struggled with learning and a bunch of different things but always excelled at sports. I love to be up in front of people and I love to be the center of attention. When I was in the second grade I saw my first motivational speaker and musician. I told myself I was going to be just like him one day. Sadly, after high school, I got addicted to drugs and had to pay back $30,000 in court fines. I didn’t listen to my leaders or my teachers I chose to make bad choices. By the age of 19 years old I was pulled over three times with drugs and almost kicked out of the military something I joined with the intent of changing my life and making it better when I was younger. I was able to escape my surroundings and deployed to Afghanistan around 23 of the 32 soldiers I was with had their vehicle blown up with an IED and one of them in my unit was killed. It was difficult. I returned home married my best friend and two months after was back in Afghanistan for another deployment. After returning home from the second deployment, I met my eight-month-old baby girl. Life will be a roller coaster for the next few years. It came to me losing my job and having to exit the military because of my mental health. My wife never gave up on me and I decided not to give up on myself. I learned that I am the author of my story and that only I could write the book of my life. I followed steps, and made a plan, and put everything into action and witching five years I went from wanting to take my life to 6figures and different incomes. I learned success, and happiness comes from serving others and building what you love with your best friend and spouse. I started to write music and started to shoot music videos and now I’ve been able to get booked all over our nation and broke out of the country. I couldn’t have done this alone they say, it’s easier to build an empire when you’re surrounded by other workers who are willing to build. I was only able to do this with everyone helping. I am so grateful

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Life is very difficult. Not once will any of us have all of our ducks in a row. If it seems like everything is going well in your life I recommend hanging on because your life is going to get shook. It’s impossible to grow without growing pains. We struggle and through struggle that builds strength. Muscle can only grow when it’s broken down and rebuilt. The biggest thing that keeps people from accomplishing their goals is the thought of failure and the thought of what other people will think of them. I’ve had so many people laugh at me, but now that I have been able to accomplish many of my dreams I’ve realized people will always laugh at you. That’s why it’s so important for you to always believe in yourself and never give up. When it comes to shooting music videos I didn’t have enough money so my wife and I sacrificed and I was working multiple jobs and putting everything we had into my goals. It’s one of those things you put money into with the hope of it working out. I highly recommend listening to that inner Feeling and doing exactly what it says! It’s never going to be easy everything you do is going to be hard so you have to choose your hard. I would rather sacrifice now.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My wife and I work as a team and do multiple things! We buy and flip real estate homes together and have so much fun doing it! I also helped my wife with her teeth whitening and micro-blading business whenever she needs help with anything! Honestly, I rely on my wife for everything she probably never even needs my help! I am a professional public speaker, musician and author. I am constantly marketing, writing music, working on production, and still working the weekends in the coal mine. Yes, you heard that correctly. I work Friday Saturday and Sunday in the coal mines. People think I’m crazy when I tell them that especially because of everything else we are doing. Honestly, the coal mine is a break from the rest of everything I’m doing. I could quit the coal mine, but I actually enjoy doing something different during the week and then Monday morning be completely ready to start grinding throughout the whole week! I specialize in speaking at youth and corporate events. I’ve had so much happen in my life that has given me the ammunition to speak about suicide, addiction, appreciation for your country, resilience, bullying and so much more. I play the piano blindfolded and can continue to play laying down backwards. I do three different types of music and have one music award and millions of views on social media. I’m able to connect with people through music because it speaks a language that we all can understand. The reason why I do multiple types of music is because everyone loves something I do !! I’ve only been speaking for about six years including the two-year Covid. I’ve been booked around 200 times! It has been amazing. I speak about things that many people can relate to and I talk about things that are very interesting like war. I talk about conquering your Colosseum and preparing for life’s battles ahead.

We also started a clothing/gym brand called @ conquering your colosseum.com.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I love to help and serve other people just like my family served my brothers and I when we were young and adopted us. My wife and I had a goal to start a nonprofit and we did that this year. 🙂 We started a nonprofit called a smile in every classroom. It is so important to help our future generations. Change does not happen within the White House it happens within our homes and within the classroom. I’ve made it my mission to help these kids understand the importance of treating one another with respect And speaking kind words to others and to themselves. It’s so important to think positive and I will prove to the world you could come from a broken home and create a future home of your dreams.
