Exploring Life & Business with Jordan Clements of JRC Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Clements.

Jordan, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
When I was in Junior High and High School, my friends and I would go to local shows practically every weekend. We would hang out before, go to the show, then hang out some more after. It was something that I looked forward to every week. After going to shows for a while, I started handing out flyers and promoting local shows for my friends on social media. I became more and more fascinated with the whole process of putting shows together. That led me to start putting together my own local and smaller touring band shows, and with a little trial and error – It finally came together, and JRC Events was created. It has been around 7+ years since JRC Events was started, and the future looks fantastic.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The road has never been smooth, and if it was – I don’t think it would keep me on my toes. I’m constantly evolving in everything that I do with JRC Events, and that’s what makes it so exciting. The biggest struggle in growing is failing – but you can’t fail unless you give up.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I’m a talent buyer/event promoter based in Salt Lake City, UT – I specialize in concerts, drag shows, private parties, and miscellaneous queer events. I do everything from booking the acts at the venues to a day of show responsibilities.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was always the class clown – always trying to make people laugh. I think that’s why I excelled in the entertainment industry because I love finding joy in others.
