Community Highlights: Meet Anna Maxwell of Anna Maxwell Consulting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Maxwell.

Hi Anna, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
After earning degrees in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Analytics and working for the Small Business Development Center network, I realized three things:

1) I adore entrepreneurs’ dedication and drive
2) I love sharing my formal education with those who need it and,
3) I can solve small businesses’ pain points in less time and for less money than any current offerings.

I love inciting exciting, empowering growth for businesses and their owners and cheering on my clients every step of the way!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As a fresh college grad, I faced a lot of perfectionism and imposter syndrome! I felt my credibility and ‘hireability’ were dependent on perfect execution and having my business in its final state before letting anyone see it. It took a lot of time to overcome that and I’m grateful for the clients who trusted me when I was most insecure.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Anna Maxwell Consulting?
I’m a small business graphic and web designer who bakes marketing psychology into every service and deliverable I provide.

I specialize in brand development (establishing who you are, who your audience is, how to speak to them, and what that speech looks like) and website design (building an effective, intuitive online home that maximizes conversions and minimizes pain points).

My business is different from others because it has me! I work hard to bring my enthusiasm, compassion, rationality, frugality, and expertise to every client meeting, and I get to build incredible relationships with my clients because of it. Everyone has their own strengths, which is one of my favorite parts of working with entrepreneurs. I encourage others to facilitate authentic and sustainable small business ownership by modeling it myself: I emphasize my strengths and lean into what excites me.

I’m proudest of my turnaround time. I refuse to spend six months on a website; let’s get it done in a couple of weeks and then send you on your way!

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
You deserve to build a life you love living! You can spend all your time doing what excites you and none of your time in tedium once you take advantage of the tools available to small business owners and the expertise of professionals like me.
