Today we’d like to introduce you to Grace Waite.
Hi Grace, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My passion for nails started as a child, I have very fond memories of having sleepovers with my aunt where we would watch movies, eat pizza and paint our nails. When I left for university I continued having fun doing my own nails, I started branching out and experimenting with nail art and playing with gel polish. I eventually started doing my friends’ nails and I grew even more of a love for the art of nails. After graduating from college I decided to finally make it official and go to nail school, it really was one of the best decisions of my life. I have enjoyed doing nails professionally since 2014.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Because I love doing nails so much it really has been a joy working through the process of building my brand and business. The one struggle I experienced was developing allergies to a nail product I was using, I had to take a break from doing nails in order to allow my skin to fully heal. It may sound funny, but it was actually really sad to have nails not be a part of my life, it made me realize what a blessing this passion and skill is in my life.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I love my work, I truly enjoy the art of doing nails, and the people I get to meet through it. I specialize in gel nail services and dry pedicures. I have had extensive training in an advanced method commonly known as Russian Manicures and Pedicures. I also have had training in many styles of nail art (which I love doing). I’m proud to be able to do something that I love to do, express my creative side, and bring joy to others while doing it.
What does success mean to you?
Success is being happy in your life and bringing happiness to others.
