Meet Destiney Dabo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Destiney Dabo.

Destiney, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I got started with influencing which was inspired by children’s fashion. My daughter, Honor Dabo and I, would take pictures and videos and post on Instagram and to our blog, MomCrushMonday.com. Once we started posting we would get recognized by clothing and lifestyle brands. I built MomCrushMonday which was based around millennial motherhood views while raising and co-parenting my daughter. This surprisingly led us to be featured in Vogue, Shape, People, and Essence Magazine which helped gain a lot of press for the brand.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
MomCrushMonday started out as a hobby which was all fun and inspiring. This lifestyle continued to lead us to greater achievements that developed it into a business. With personal and brand growth comes the challenges and there was a lot of change happening. We had to continue to level up within ourselves that pushed the brand even more.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As an influencer and entrepreneur, through MomCrushMonday, I was able to help other influencers reach their goals while helping them define their own unique platforms.

What sets me apart from others is expanding my brand past the Utah market and niches. I always want to challenge the niche and not allow myself to stay boxed in.

I am most proud of the opportunities it created for my family and I, being a great role model for my family and myself, while breaking generational challenges that weren’t accessible in my previous lifeline. I honor and celebrate every win while maintaining a brand and raising a family. I am very proud that my co-parent and I were able to get back together to continue building this great future ahead of us with our newest star seed.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me in this season is living an enjoyable life while building and maintaining a brand. Staying present and focusing on success on my own terms is something I will always strive for.
