Hi Kateari, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is KaTeari Snowbird Cesspooch I am a Native American Cannabis patient from the Uintah and Ouray Reservation. In Northeastern Utah. In a Rual, Utah on the “Rez”, I live with PTSD, bipolar, BPD, & PMDD. But most of all I am a Mother.💕 I’ve had other sicknesses such as fibromyalgia That cannabis cured Since I started using cannabis it has changed my life for the better! I am on the lowest dose of antidepressants and lowest dose of mood stabilizers because I use medical cannabis!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I had to try different medications some I was filling the side effects more than the good effects. I’ve had to deal with all these health problems on top of having PTSD as young as a three-year-old toddler. Because I was in survival mode, I was so anxious to be an adult I had my first child at 16 years old.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Medical Cannabis Advocate.🌱 I also think My Story would be a good story coming from An Indigenous “Cannamama” who has a Great story who lives in Utah the parts People never get to see and going on that journey to find help and seek those “tools/coping” skills. Have to willingly check myself into a mental facility for help being away from my children to get the help I needed on my own cause we don’t have those resources out here I was Basically on this journey by myself with having to keep a smile on my face the whole time for my family.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Helping speak out to the communities and being the Advocate Being the best mother of my children & Breaking the Stigma of Cannabis.
