Hi Kadence, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
A couple of years back someone gifted me a crystal necklace when my younger sister got diagnosed with cancer.
I was personally going through a really hard time and for some reason, that necklace gave me hope. I wanted to know why it helped me with my mental state so I looked into the healing properties of crystals. I studied them for years and decided I needed to teach others about them.
I want people to feel like there is a light at the end of the tunnel and there is hope.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This business has been such a challenge. There have been times when I’ve wanted to give up on it and just live my teenage years. I’ve had my bank account hacked, my Shopify payouts sent to the wrong accounts, my Instagram blocking all my messages, and of course my own doubts about the business.
But my family and my boyfriend have pushed me to keep going and to share the love with others.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I currently work at Lotus. Lotus is a metaphysical store in draper. that’s where I’ve learned the majority about crystals and healing tools. During work, I connect with each customer to understand them and help them find what they are looking for.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was very creative and curious. I loved the outdoors, bugs, and animals. I was a collector, I collected everything from bottle caps to marbles. I remember I wanted to be an artist when I grew up just like my great grandma.
My nickname was Missmess when I was little because I liked to do arts and crafts and make messes.
I definitely haven’t changed much; art is such a huge part of my life and I use it in my every day. I’ll go up the canyon and collect flowers and rocks still. Your inner child is so important, so make sure he/she is healed.
