Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Morrow.
Hi Sarah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I’ve been an avid thrifter and collector of vintage clothing and other items since I was a teenager. In 2017, I decided to try to start selling some things online through Depop. In 2018 I started selling at Flea Markets and Pop-Ups.
In 2019, I launched my website and rented my first studio space where people could shop by appointment. In 2020, I opened my first brick-and-mortar location and in 2021, I moved my store into my current location.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest struggle was opening my first brick-and-mortar location because it coincided with the emergence of Covid 19. Other than that, the bumps in the road have mainly just been me figuring out how to run a legitimate business. I have a creative mind so accounting and licensing, etc. have been one of the biggest challenges for me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have a fine art degree in Painting/Drawing. This creative eye is apparent in everything shop related from the walls to the items on the racks to the racks themselves and to the signage on the building.
I am proud to have created a unique shopping experience with a curated collection of vintage items while supporting our planet by recycling textiles that would have otherwise made it to the landfill. I enjoy educating people on the detriments of fast fashion and giving them an opportunity to break the cycle that the fashion industry has created.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I put out new items every single day. In the shop, you can find clothing and accessories for all sizes and genders that will allow you to express your individuality while staying within budget.
