Today we’d like to introduce you to Darrius Pierce.
Hi Darrius, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I started off wanting to help out during the pandemic by selling masks. I then helped my then 9-year-old niece start her cosmetic business which is doing very well at the moment.
I had other ideas but of course, didn’t know where to start until I meet one of my business partners that had the connections I was looking for. Fast forward to today we now create our own skin care products and we have other products and services that will be released very soon.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth road. Before I had a system in place everything you can imagine went wrong. From shipping products in the wrong boxes, not having the lids on tight products spills before the customer gets it.
I was rushing things and didn’t pay attention to the small details now I know even the smallest things matter in business. I’ve been embarrassed by not fully knowing my products and I vowed to never let that happen again.
It’s a lesson learned and something I could pass on to another entrepreneur starting a business.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I help run security operations at a Proctor Plant in Utah. I started as a bottom employee and was given an opportunity to help lead different projects while I was in the state of Texas.
So I was asked to move to Utah and lead a massive construction project. My attitude and my personality set me apart from others and my ability to communicate and de-escalate situations as they occur due to my time spent in the United States Military.
What are your plans for the future?
The plan is to work until it doesn’t make sense. I am currently brushing up on my knowledge of our current products and services to make sure we are giving our customers our best.
We also have a lot of products that are in testing mode to be released in the future. We also have different programs we are working on for our youth to become the best version of themselves.
