Hi Tasia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
My mom and I were both laid off from our jobs in 2020 on the same week. We were shocked and confused about where to turn next.
My mom called me one day and said we are gonna start a clothing boutique and I want to name it after Luna! (Luna is my goldendoodle puppy). We started by getting our domain and business license. Started our social media but really had no idea what we were doing!
Picking out clothes for our first launch was the fun part. We found models quickly and set up a time with a local business for our first shoot. Things were coming together! Danelle our photographer that day is still taking our pictures today!
We have been open for 2 years and continuing to grow!
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not! We have made mistakes along the way.
We started our website with the wrong provider and had to change pretty soon after opening!
We value quality and finding clothing manufacturers that value that as well. Since we started during COVID there wasn’t a way to see the product in person.
We’ve been impressed with Luv Luna Boutique, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are mother and daughter owned! It is so cool getting to partner with my mom every day. We both care a lot for our customers and experience shopping with us.
That is what makes us stand out in my opinion, we put a lot of love into each order.
We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
My mom and I share a birthday! We run a sale during that time each year. It is fun to celebrate with our business as well.
