Today we’d like to introduce you to Cody Chew.
Hi Cody, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I’ve worked hard in the trade industry ever since I was a little kid. In high school, I owned a Lawncare business called “Chew It Up Lawncare”! At 16 years old I was mowing 65 lawns per week. I learned to keep my priorities straight between keeping my business running, and going to High school. In other words… I skipped class to work pretty often! I sold my Lawncare business in 2021 and wanted to start something new that would truly make a positive difference in my community. I’ve always loved the saying “dirty hands clean money” so what better business to start than dumpsters! I am 19 years old and I own and operate Blue Collar Haulers! BCH is Cache Valleys’ premier dumpster rental service. We offer the cleanest containers with the best service. I started BCH in February 2022, and have been working nonstop since then. I’ve been able to do service with my dumpsters, and clean up the beautiful community we live in! In order to continue to do this, I need help from the community! Each month, we pick a canyon in Cache Valley that has been overwhelmed with trash. I invite the public to come help, and fill the dumpster to the brim! Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Anyone that has started a small business knows that it isn’t easy. The day my new dumpsters were delivered to cache Valley, I got a major knee surgery that put me out of walking for 6 weeks. With that, I’ve had ups and downs in the business, but continue to push forward and love what I do every day!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Blue Collar Haulers are Cache Valleys’ premier dumpster rental service. We are built off of hard work and value fast response times. We saw a need for a new business in cache valley that isn’t “old school”. 99% of dumpster services in Northern Utah don’t have a website, let alone social media! I’m determined to change that! I also want to change the “brand” of the blue-collar industry. The blue-collar industry isn’t just high school dropouts. It’s hard-working people that build our country one day at a time! Blue Collar Haulers are determined to make positive waves in the industry!

I’ve always seemed to have bad luck on my side. Not everything goes right, but when you have a strong work ethic there’s nothing that can stop you! When my truck breaks down on the side of the road, I should just call it a day but I’ve got a roll of duct tape and some bolts and I’ll have it back up and running before you know it!
