Meet Brenna Cobb

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brenna Cobb.

Hi Brenna, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I was born and raised in Moab, Utah. I was inspired to pursue the esthetic business by another esthetician in Moab. Kaisa at Lux Esthetics told me about the services she does and learned in school, I was very intrigued, to say the least, I changed my college plans and toured about 4 schools to find the right fit.

I spent about 1 year in Utah county getting my master’s esthetic license and moved home and almost instantly got a full-time job doing what I love. I’ve grown an amazing clientele of both local and traveling clients.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Overall my experience has been about expanding my knowledge and personal growth, there have been obstacles that I’ve overcome due to help and advice from my co-workers and from other estheticians in Moab. We have a good, helpful community and group willing to help each other when needed. I looked at these obstacles and challenges as learning and growth opportunities.

Every person working in the beauty industry knows there are twists and turns to everything, but the knowledge I took from school and applied to my career it has been the best thing I’ve ever done. I think what has helped me is getting started so quickly right out of school so I kept my drive and love for what I do. I don’t consider what I do as work because of the love I have for it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a master esthetician livened in Utah. I specialize in skin care, body and face waxing, lashes, back facials, brows, microneedling, and much more. I am most proud of building a clientele as fast as I did. I was very adamant about getting started right out of school so I didn’t lose my knowledge.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
One thing that matters most to me is trying to convey to my clients is they are just as beautiful coming in as when they leave. Even though I do some “appearance altering” services I try to make my client feel good in their own skin. I boost their self-confidence and I take a lot of pride in that.

Most of my clients see their appointments as self-care and relaxation rather than needing them to make them look better. I enjoy doing relaxing, calming services for moms, teachers, students, nurses, and people who need an hour to unwind. I like to think I’m helping my community out in that way.
