Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Dana George.
Hi Stephanie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I own a photography business, Photos By Stephanie. I love photography and I have loved it from the moment I held my first camera. I took my first photography class in my Sophomore year of High School and started my paid photography career the summer after my senior year. I continued taking classes and certifying in many different types of photography. I work mostly with Word of Mouth and am always honored when someone recommends me. I live to capture memories and hope to be able to bring joy into people’s lives with the images I capture.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I don’t think that any business has a completely smooth road. With my photography business, one of the hardest “speed bumps” has been the slow seasons. Photography seems to get busy during certain times of the year. So during the slow times, I have to try and figure out new and exciting things to offer to my clients.
I believe the bumps in the road are what make our journey rewarding though. You cannot see the light without knowing darkness.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Photos By Stephanie specializes in all types of photos: weddings, engagement photos, senior portraits, family pictures, and much more. I am always open to new ideas with photography. I love traditional sessions and abstract sessions. I love trying new things and working with all types of people.
I love photography and I have loved it from the moment I held my first camera. I live to capture memories and hope to be able to bring joy into people’s lives with the images I capture.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I hope to continue doing all the sessions I’m used to doing. I hope to take family photos year after year and watch my clients grow and change. I hope to be there, capturing memories at all the big events. I hope to give them something they can always have to look back on.
I also want to explore and see what new ideas I can come up with. I’m excited to meet new people and learn new things.
I hope my photography business continues like this for years and years.
