Life & Work with Maria Ozvatic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Ozvatic.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have been interested in astrology ever since I was a little girl. A family friend created a birth chart for me when I was seven years old. I still have it to this day. To go back and read what she predicted years later and to see some of it has actually transpired has been mind-boggling. Not only was she an astrologer, she was also a clairvoyant. It wouldn’t be until 2021 when I would study astrology seriously. I’m currently studying Hellenistic Astrology with Chris Brennan. Hellenistic Astrology is based on ancient and extremely accurate concepts. I can’t get enough of it. I’m amazed every day how well it defines the story of our lives both through the world and our inner, private lives.

I went down a road after my father passed in February of 2019 that led me to where I am today. I took the spiritual path before I decided to study astrology seriously. My faith has informed my worldview to such a degree that without it, my study of astrology would not be seen through the correct lens.

As I learn more, I see that one’s birth chart tells a story about every part of one’s life and every planet in the birth chart is a character in the life expressing itself through the chart owner and/or through others with whom one is acquainted with.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been fun learning astrology and applying what I’ve learned but on the grand scale I’ve been transitioning from the old life to the new life and that has been a struggle. With healing, one comes to understand the many beliefs that must be stripped away in order to step into a new life and perspective. This has had to do more with the spiritual journey but understanding how the planets move and what to expect has helped tremendously especially considering I have come to feel that our lives are predetermined but also that what happens in our life can always be mitigated by our reaction to what is happening. To breathe deeply and say to oneself, “This too shall pass.” As I work to understand the cycles of astrology in one’s life, it seems we are always revisiting certain cycles in our life. Which gives us a chance to see something old with new and wiser eyes, with the opportunity to respond differently. In my opinion, smooth is boring. If I’m not challenged in some way, I’m not learning. Struggle can be a benefit in the long run.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I not only help people through astrology but I am a Quantum Healing Hypnosis practitioner, Reiki Master, vocal channel and tarot reader. I receive messages through channeling which requires a meditation practice of singing bowls and toning. Through my meditation practice, I have connected to the Akashic records and received stories about life on other planes of existence. I wrote a book about it called Intergalactic Parables and I’m currently working on the second book in the series.

I am most proud of not needing others to validate my choices because if I had listened to those voices, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I have a strong faith in Jesus Christ but it doesn’t fit the dogma that others may fall prey to. Jesus led a life of service, and to me, that is what is most important. To walk in his footsteps.

We all have our own journey here on Earth and everyone’s experience is meant to be different. Acceptance of our own unique attributes and gifts is amazing, especially when we use them to help others.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Don’t be afraid to try something just because you might be afraid of failure. It’s okay to give up and move on to something else but if you don’t try you’ll never know how it could’ve turned out. Follow your gut even when you think it’s leading you down one path just to find out it was always leading you down another. We never know how something will turn out until much later but if you don’t follow your instincts, you’ll never know what could’ve been. There is a song by Cody Johnson that I just love called “Til You Can’t” He says, “If you got a dream, chase it, cause your dream won’t chase you back.” He has a story where he kept going after Rodeo and was disappointed when he didn’t make it but along the way he found music. Had he not taken that one path, he may not be where he is today. Of course, I personally believe there are many roads and we always end up where were are meant to but if you follow your instincts, you may get there just a little less painfully. The universe/God is always conspiring if you are paying attention.
