Community Highlights: Meet Cassidy Bybee of Pure Romance By Cassidy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassidy Bybee.

Hi Cassidy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my business back in January 2008. I was a newlywed and attending Weber State University to become a dental Hygienist. I had attended a party and thought what a great way to supplement some income to pay for my college education. I was working at a dental office as an assistant full time and I was also a server on the nights and weekends at two different restaurants. Legit hustling 24/7. As my business started to take off, I kept telling myself as painful as this was to run from one job to another all this hard work would pay off. I guess you can say I was made for this, my first event I made a week’s paycheck within a few hours of work I loved the women I was meeting and helping them become more educated about their bodies and intimacy within their relationships.

As the business took off my marriage sadly declined. I had a husband in School who didn’t understand or truly see the vision of what I knew my business could become. He wanted me to keep trying to finish my degree and have the security of a 9-5. I started to truly struggle with school, test taking wasn’t easy, and I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 21.

I decided to take a break from school and quickly my husband and I grew apart.

I had gained a new self-love and confidence for myself and quickly realized if I didn’t have the support I needed it was time for me to move on.

I filed for divorce in May 2012.

Being single and taking care of myself just with my business wasn’t an easy job. I questioned myself more than once but I always just kept pushing. I met my now Husband Josh in August 2012. We dated for 2 years, became engaged and got married Oct 2014. I paid for my wedding and honeymoon with my business.

We were blessed with our beautiful daughter Jovi Michele Bybee on December 9,2019. I love that my business allows me to experience everything with her.

Fast forward to now, I personally sell 300K plus a year with my Pure Romance Business. I have taught and trained a multi-million dollar team to do the same . I was awarded #1 in the world for sponsoring women into the business in 2017.

The profits of this business have allowed us to start investing in real estate, we own 3 investment properties 1- Fishing Creek, MD 2- Crystal Beach, TX 3- Smoky Mountains, TN we rent them out as vacation rentals that we self manage through airbnb and vrbo.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being an entrepreneur isn’t a smooth road. It isn’t a 9-5. It never really stops. Covid created a new way of me doing business because I couldn’t go and do in person events. I had to get creative with zoom and online. Surprisingly Covid was my biggest year in sales. I keep my foot on the gas pedal, it’s a constant hustle but even in the down times the hardworking always pays off. I wouldn’t change it for anything.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Pure Romance By Cassidy?
Pure Romance is the global leader in sexual health and wellness products. I provide a safe educational environment for women to learn about their bodies and their partners’ bodies to better their relationships. Utah is a very conservative culture with a lack of education. I have a mobile boutique/store that I bring to every event. Women welcome me into their homes with their friends and I do a presentation / educational session about our products and finish the event with a one-on-one consultation where I can answer their questions and they can purchase items from me. I am proud to say women who have never had an orgasm or didn’t know they even had a clitoris leave my parties educated and confident to experience intimacy in a more positive light. I literally provide self-confidence to these women. We have products that range from health and wellness and gut health to lubricants, lingerie, bedroom accessories, vaginal health aids, and much more.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Celebrate the small wins they will eventually turn into big ones. Don’t depend on your close friends and family to support your business. Women need us – there is such a stigma behind this and it needs to be looked at as a safe place for education.
