Daily Inspiration: Meet Peech

Today we’d like to introduce you to Peech.

Hi Peech, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born and raised in Utah, specifically in Park City. I started making music when I was a freshman in High school with friends and fell in love with the process and the ability to write and sing about my emotions and the things going on in my life, it really became an outlet for me. As I continued to create, I saw my craft get better and better and gain more and more traction. My first album “Peaches” gained over 1 Million streams pretty rapidly and this truly made me realize this is something I could make a career out of, something I truly love to do. From there, I dove deep and put every dime I made back into the craft, investing in myself from early on was the best decision I could’ve ever made. In 2020, an LA based record label “Tha Lights Global” heard one of my records “Redroom” and reached out and a few months later I signed a record deal with them and am still working with them today. I recently moved to Los Angeles and am doing music full time, a dream I always believed would come true and it has, now bigger dreams and goals are on the horizon and I’m more motivated and excited than ever.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been anything but smooth but that’s what has made it such an amazing journey. They always say it’s the journey and not the destination and I believe that wholeheartedly. Many of the struggles were just finding my place in the industry and investing wisely, trusting other bigger heads and making sure business works out. I learned no matter how big the opportunity, always take it, when one door opens, many more appear behind it. I’ve learned a lot along the way and still have a lot to learn. The creation of the music has always come easy to me though, I’ve loved being able to be myself in the music, navigating emotions and deep places within myself that I have never seen until writing and reflecting.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a singer/rapper. I love creating a mix between genres and not containing myself into one box. My discography is a giant mix of different emotions and stories I’ve been through in the past few years and is really like a book of my life. One thing I love is performing, concerts are my favorite. The fans singing your words back to you is a feeling I never knew I’d feel and I cant explain it. I’m most proud of just being able to do what I love, my true passion and sharing it with the world makes it that much better. Within this saturated world of music, what sets me apart I think would be that I don’t hold back my true self. My songs can be very deep and meaningful to myself and I think that makes the listener enjoy it that much more.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite memories when I was in 5th grade. I went to a Pennywise concert and crowd surfed. That was the first time I fell in love with the music. I feel like that pointed me to where I am today.
