Hidden Gems: Meet Erin Rich of Vibe Dance Studio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Rich.

Hi Erin, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I fell in love with this studio teaching for several years before I had the opportunity to own it and it is officially my home away from home. I put my heart and soul into this program and truly believe that I am teaching way more than just dance here. I have always had a passion for dance and it is a dream come true to be able to teach these amazing dancers right alongside my incredible staff. I have so many dreams and goals for this studio and it is amazing to see them begin to unfold. I have the most amazing job and am thankful every single day for the work we put into this program.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not always been easy. Nothing in life ever is right? 😉 I took over right after the pandemic when enrollment was a lot lower so I took off running, knowing I had a lot of work to do. I was hoping to show everyone how much this program and these students mean to me and it has been an incredible journey so far.

As you know, we’re big fans of Vibe Dance Studio. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are an amazing dance studio located in Layton. We believe that confidence is built from the inside out and believe that there is so much to teach these dancers. Our program is what sets us apart from others. I am so proud of our studio for taking huge strides these last couple of years to make a name for ourselves. As you know, there are so many studios in Utah and to be able to take a small studio and make it known for many reasons is a big deal. We have been noticed by other studios for being kind and supportive to others all while winning awards, etc. which to me goes right hand in hand and means the most. We care about each one’s progression and I know our dancers are the most loved out there too!

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I believe that to gain support you need to give it. I find true joy in supporting and lifting others. I am a people person and love being around all the incredible networks. Find things and people you truly want to promote and do just that. It will not only be genuine but you will meet incredible people and lifelong friends along the way.
