Hi Macey and Lindsey, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
2 months ago, we had a girls’ night in St. George with our sisters and mother-in-law. Everyone got a permanent bracelet to commemorate the fun time. Within 48 hours, we decided to open our own permanent jewelry business! 72 hours after that, we had ordered our equipment, filed for an LLC, received our equipment and completed the training, and began selling permanent jewelry.
Thus, Elle & M was born!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We don’t have much of a “story” for struggles starting our business. We have experienced the struggles than any new business does:
– Filing the LLC
– Generating business
– Overcoming self doubt
– Figuring out insurance information
– Learning about the legality/liability involved

We sell permanent jewelry!
Permanent Jewelry is custom-fit and clasp-less jewelry that is welded together. It can be anything from bracelets, necklaces, rings or anklets. If the need ever arises, it can easily be cut off at home and re-welded.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Our family has been very supportive during the start of our business! Our spouses helped us get started and think of a name, and we have so many friends and family members who’ve bought jewelry from us. Even our social media followers have supported us by “liking” and commenting on our posts. Starting a small business like this always involves a little bit of risk, and thanks to the outpouring of support we have had, we have been able to get started on the right foot.
