Today we’d like to introduce you to Bobbi Jo Perfect.
Hi Bobbi, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I started to experiment with skincare in late 2020. My family didn’t have the money to buy the expensive skincare that I had seen everywhere online. So, 6th grade I decided to make a cheaper version of the products I wanted. I learned what worked…. and what needed improving. I continued to use items around my house or cheap ingredients from Walmart for the following year. In 2021, I got my first job as a babysitter. I saved up money to buy natural and healthy ingredients for my skin. Some of my family members donated money in exchange for samples of my products. They loved them!! In 2022, after the passing of one of my old friends, I decided to start selling skincare in order to donate 30% of my income to:
1. Suicide Prevention
2. Mental Health Awareness
3. Salina’s Back Pack Club
(I only donate to one of the organizations each month.)
I got a small loan from my parent and a $100 donation from Rasmussen Excavation to start up my business. I successfully started selling products on December 1st, 2022.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I have had quite a few challenges with starting my business. My first, and biggest problem, is the number of orders and income. I don’t have as many customers as I would like, but I know it will all come with time. In the future, I want to be able to donate more money and build a beautiful website, with an online community. Also with my low income, I have only been able to make and sell 8 / 30 products. My second problem is time. As a freshman team captain of North Sevier’s Girls Wrestling Team and a member of 7 other clubs, I find it hard to find time to post my products daily. In order to solve this problem, I am creating a social media plan using Adobe.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Perfect Skincare is a local skincare line that sells all-natural, beneficial skincare for all skin types. Ingredients and instructions are posted on every product. Our current product list includes sugar scrubs, coffee scrubs, lip scrubs, sheet masks, gel masks, lotion, and skincare headbands. Every two months, new products are added to the product list.

Every holiday, we have product sales of 10% or more!!! Also, we are frequently giving free gifts to our customers. For example, for those who order between February 1st – 14th, 2023 will receive a free skincare headband!! Birthdays are really important too!! Submitting your birthday to our customer form and ordering at least 3 products will get you a free product of your choice on your special day!!
We donate 30% of our monthly income to one of three organizations.
