Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Wilson Fackrell.
Hi Sara, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I had been working as a Nurse Practitioner in a retail health clinic and it went from being so slow that I could work on other endeavors like aesthetics to so busy during COVID that I wasn’t able to do anything else and was exhausted after work.
I had one of my nurses whom I loved and looked up to discuss branching off to our own clinic. We talked about the logistics and if this is something we could possibly do. We finally decided to do it and made the leap to do our own clinic! It has definitely been a learning curve and we have learned so much.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We are both nurses and come from medical backgrounds, not business backgrounds. I had formed a business before so I had done a little bit before, but it definitely took time to figure out all the in and outs and to make sure everything was right and legal.
We definitely learned a lot in the beginning and we continue to do so every day. I’m lucky that Kristi and I have very similar goals and are on the same page, so when we do have struggles, we can remember why we are doing this. It helps us stay the course.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Kristi and I have both been to places where we felt pressured to buy things and we knew we wanted a place where everyone could feel comfortable. We are all about enhancing natural beauty on the ultimate canvas and want people to feel educated and informed. We want to build relationships.
We know the aesthetic industry can be known for being competitive and cutthroat and we want to try to change that.
We love having trained with other nurses and spas and want to strive to help give knowledge so everyone can get the best outcome. We believe that is our brand. We love adding new services, and just added waxing and brows, and soon will have a laser that treats acne comparable to Accutane!
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I have many siblings and I loved swimming in our swimming pool and playing games with them.
I have two younger sisters and an older brother and we would make up songs and plays and have our dad videotape us. I loved being with my family.
