Check Out Danae Sharifian’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danae Sharifian.

Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started out as a young parent and took long breaks while going to school. I graduated high school early and obtained my Certified Nursing License.

I worked in Hospice for five years and decided to go back to school a year after having my second baby because it wasn’t enough for me. I completed college, got the degree while pregnant, and literally gave birth at home with my third baby. I then decided I was going to be my own boss and create something of my own.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Nothing is ever going to be a smooth road. I have come across many struggles but with the grace of God, you can overcome anything.

One of my many struggles is thinking I can’t do it because someone has already done it. There may be others out there but there is only one you. Do the best version of you.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am the owner of You Pic-Nic and I create picnics indoors or out for any special occasion you may have.

I am most proud of my family but also of creating something for myself and enjoying what I do. I am very detailed and take delight in making other people happy.

Who else deserves credit for your story?
I thank Jesus, my family, my friends, everyone else, and myself!
