Hi Agnes, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We are a couple of travelers passionate about photography, and Utah is the number 1 photo spot on our list. Chris visited Utah for the first time in 2002 and immediately fell in love with the state’s natural beauty. We spent much time in different Utah locations when we met and started traveling together, sometimes with a camper truck, other times with a jeep wrangler, or just a regular car and camping gear.
Our favorite town where we feel like home is Kanab due to the vicinity of southern Utah photo spots and hiking trails. The goal is to share those places with as many people as possible and inspire them to come here. We have a blog called thevanescape.com, and you can check our recent Utah stories there.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Traveling is not cheap these days, and going somewhere and seeing places you dream about is always a challenge.
We are trying to make some money sharing photos and stories on our blog, but more is needed to make more exciting content. So we have other sources of income, which takes time, and we must limit our time on the road. This is why on our blog, readers can find a lot of hints on how to travel cheaply and see more for the same amount of money.
We want people to visit those Utah gems because they deserve it. Sleeping in a tent is one of the ways to reduce your budget, and we assure you it is an adventure. Utah is the perfect place for this kind of travel.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Photography and content creation is our main specialization. We are also slowly learning to make better videos because this media has been trending recently.
To differentiate from others, we try to reach less known places, take pictures that inspire, and describe them in a much more detailed way on our blog. We try to answer all potential questions people willing to get there might have.
