Meet Abigail Crow

Today we’d like to introduce you to Abigail Crow.

Abigail Crow

Hi Abigail, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I grew up in a family of artists but it has taken me a long time to find my voice as a creative individual.

It wasn’t until a few years ago that I started selling my art professionally. Painting on glass has made all the difference – I have so much freedom to explore the medium. I can’t wait to see where it will take me!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like anything worth striving for, it has been difficult but worth it. Both my sister and father are established artists, so I wanted to learn from them as much as I could while still being unique.

I’m still finding my voice, but who isn’t? We change and grow all the time. The key is not staying the same, but learning to be curious and authentic.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am an artist. I paint on glass and Lucite with oil paint. I love painting portraits, whether they be of people, fauna, or flora.

I love exploring color and using elements from the Impressionist art movement to inspire me.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Overall, I am very lucky. My dad has taught me a lot about the art world, and my husband is incredibly supportive. If it wasn’t for him, I don’t know if I would be where I am today.

It was an amazing stroke of luck that I found him, and that we’ve been able to grow my business together. Many artists have had to grow on their own, I am one of the lucky few who has had so much support.
