Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssha Jenson.
Alyssha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My long-arm quilting business is fairly new but something I have thought about doing for years. Since I was completing my degree at BYU – Idaho, it wasn’t the right time to do so.
I completed my degree in Business Management emphasizing entrepreneurship in April 2023 and came back to this business idea as I asked questions and networked with the local fabric stores, everything came into place.
This venture has made it possible for me to be home with my boys and to do what I love. I get to work with amazing quilters and bring their work together to complete their quilts.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have been some complications, but I have had the best support from other long-arm quilters and my husband.
Through these challenges, I haven’t doubted myself or the process because I know what I am capable of and I will succeed.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Threadline Quilting?
Threadline Quilting is a long-arm quilting service. I provided edge-to-edge and hope to one day provide custom quilting.
How do you define success?
I would define success as the ability to try and work hard through struggles, even if you fail. But if you came out with more knowledge and more determination to keep trying and going, I would say you have succeeded in many ways than what the world defines success to be.
