Today we’d like to introduce you to Roshan Kumar.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We started the first location back in 2018 at Pocatello Idaho. This is our second location. Himalayan flavor Logan was opened in 2021 on June 24th and we do have a third location in Idaho Falls which opened in 2022 August.
Initially, when I was in Pocatello Idaho, lots of people from Asia and locals used to talk about how it would be better if we had authentic Indian/Nepali restaurants in town. Then, we thought about it and why not take a risk and start a business to serve the local community and international as well.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
So far it has been great. People have been very supportive and kind to the growth of our business. We wouldn’t have made it this far without the love and support of the community.
As you know, we’re big fans of Himalayan Flavor. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business name is Himalayan Flavor. It’s located in Logan, Pocatello, and Idaho Falls. I am the owner of all three locations we have.
We are known for serving the best authentic Nepali/Indian dishes. Being from Nepal, I have always wanted to bring authentic flavor and food to the people around where I live so I thought about the business idea.
