Hi Andrew, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my build at the beginning of November and slowly built the trailer, barrel sauna, and changing room. It was about a 3-month process of building, website development, and all the other behind the scenes! The business is slowly rolling out. I’m reaching out to local businesses to try to collaborate and host employee nights or special events. Still, I am predominantly aiming for hourly and nightly rentals!
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
A big struggle is starting a business with little funds but being patient while the business gains traction. Other struggles included my stairs being stolen off my trailer overnight and targeted parking citations.

We are a mobile sauna company that delivers right to your doorstep! We offer hourly and nightly rentals and work with local businesses for special events. There are few mobile sauna companies nationwide, but you certainly will not see another one like Salty Saunas. It’s a barrel sauna with a changing room attached.
Most you see will be enclosed in metal trailers or just the barrel, but the changing room definitely sets us apart aesthetically and functionally! I am more affordable than most companies doing this across the nation. I don’t charge delivery fees to Salt Lake County; most charge heavy delivery fees.
We charge $150 for 3 hours and only $25 more for each additional hour. It is $300 for a night rental, from 6 pm-10 am. Prices include the propane to fuel your sauna for hours and hours to bake.
Who else deserves credit for your story?
My father came out and helped me with building the barrel. It was days of hand-selecting wood, running it through the router, and initiating the build.
My mother has been the real hero of this business. Supporting me mentally and monetarily, she has been feeding me ideas daily. I’ve had a lot of support from friends, family, and my partner, who has been helping me in my times of need!

- Overnight rental (6 pm-10 am) – $300
- I offer better deals depending on the length of the rental!
