Starting my journey as a dog groomer was a leap of faith I took just last year, in 2023, leaving behind a stable yet monotonous 9-5 job as a production line lead. The urge for a change, to break the daily routine, was strong.
During this period of contemplation, my best friend, Giancarlo, whom I’ve known for over two decades, was exploring the idea of starting his own business. Seizing this moment of mutual aspiration, we joined forces, brainstorming various business ideas. After sifting through numerous possibilities, we found our calling in mobile dog grooming—a perfect blend of our love for dogs, meeting new people, and the desire to offer convenient grooming services to keep their furry friends looking their best.
Embarking on this venture with no prior experience in grooming, we committed ourselves to learning the craft from the ground up. We enrolled in grooming classes to master the basics. Upon completing the course, I began servicing clients, starting with friends and family who I knew would understand any beginner’s mistakes. This phase was crucial; it helped me hone my skills and build the confidence to welcome new clients. Our business has been on an upward trajectory since then, growing remarkably. We’re now at a juncture where we’re ready to expand—excited about growing our team, infusing new ideas into our business, extending our service areas, and meeting new pups, all while ensuring our clients’ satisfaction and having a great time doing what we love.
For me, this journey is about making a difference and challenging the notion that work has to be monotonous. I aim to cultivate a workplace where my team feels valued, supported to grow professionally and personally and encouraged to unleash their creativity. This vision is the cornerstone of our company’s identity, and it’s what we strive for every day.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey hasn’t been without its bumps, especially at the beginning. Stepping into the dog grooming industry without any prior experience was quite daunting. The fear of making mistakes was always at the back of my mind. However, the incredible support we received from our friends, family, and early clients was beyond what we hoped for. Their encouragement played a crucial role in helping us navigate those initial challenges.
As time passed, my appreciation for grooming grew, and with it, our confidence in what we did. We started receiving an overwhelming amount of positive feedback about our services. Every compliment and supportive message fueled our passion even more, reminding us of the impact we were making.
This business has transformed our lives in ways we never imagined, and we are profoundly grateful for that. It reminds us how far we’ve come and the potential for where we can go.

Our venture is a startup mobile dog grooming service uniquely designed to bring the salon to our clients’ doorsteps. Recognizing the busy schedules of dog owners, we’ve equipped our van with everything needed to offer full grooming services conveniently at their homes. This approach not only saves time for our clients but also reduces stress for their beloved pets.

We aim to broaden our service area to encompass all of Utah, setting the stage for an even more exciting prospect: taking our mobile dog grooming services national.
