Inspiring Conversations with Ashley Younger of Ashley Younger Fitness

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Younger.

Ashley Younger

Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my fitness journey in 2017 by overworking and undereating. This led to very disordered eating habits and an unhealthy relationship with diet and exercise. I’ve since healed and made it my mission to help other women avoid my mistakes! I started personal training in 2019. I worked at a local gym for about nine months. At that time, I got pregnant with my first baby. I took some time off to be a stay-at-home mom and had another baby! During that time, I wrote workout programs for friends and family.

As a stay-at-home mom of two toddlers, I started to feel the need to contribute financially and establish myself as more than just a mom. I spent years falling for all of the fitness myths. When I started my online personal training business in the summer of 2023, my main goal was to help women begin their fitness journey without any false information. My little business has become my lifeline and has helped me in more ways than I have probably helped my clients.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Learning to navigate and market myself on social media has been a whirlwind!

You learn as you go and there is so much to learn, so many things to incorporate into your videos and posts that it can be overwhelming. I’ve learned that your goal isn’t to go viral but to build a community and brand so that people will always look to you when they have questions.

We’ve been impressed with Ashley Younger Fitness, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart?
I’m an online fitness coach! I offer a 1:1, six-week personal training program. I help women (men, too) on their fitness journey, whether they are beginners or have been working out for a while! I specialize in strength training and believe that strength training should be at the core of any good workout program.

My biggest goal as a trainer is to give my clients all the information they need so that when our time together ends, you won’t need another trainer! I’m most known for debunking fitness myths and false information. The fitness industry spreads lies for clickbait and exposure. It can damage beginners when they try and fail to see the results, leading them to quit.

What sets me apart from the others is that I focus on fitness and nutrition and don’t make people think they need to go to extremes to see results. I meet my clients where they are, not where they want to be, and then help them get to where they want to be. I teach that consistency will win every single time.

Included in my 1:1 coaching is a custom strength-based program, nutrition guidance, and form videos within a fitness app. It’s all in one very convenient place. We do weekly follow-ups, monthly measurements, and progress photos to ensure we are on the right track. I help my clients set other goals for themselves and always create the best program for them to succeed.

I also offer a Nutrition Guide in which I calculate your maintenance calories and then provide all the information you’ll need to create your deficit, stay at maintenance, or create a surplus. I also go over how to count macros and set your macros. I also created a program called “New Years Challenge,” when I hosted a New Year’s challenge available to purchase anytime! You just save it to your phone, and it’s yours forever!

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Honesty and transparency. I’m not going to lie to you to make you believe you can achieve results by doing something wrong. I’ll tell you exactly how to achieve results without false information.

I will also be upfront when I don’t think something is working or we need to put more effort into your program. I’m not going to waste your money by not holding you accountable! It won’t be worth your time and money or mine.
