Today, we’d like to introduce you to Living in Utah.

Living in Utah

Hello Living in Utah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.

We are a couple of Chilean immigrants who arrived in the United States 4 years ago, directly to Utah, where we fell in love with the state, the lifestyle, the education, and the safety.  My name is Ayin Ray Antileo, and I spent ten years working as a dentist in public health back in Chile. My partner, Vinko Valdivieso, owned a welding company for fifteen years in our home country. Since arriving here, we’ve faced numerous immigration and personal challenges, experiencing firsthand the difficulties of navigating the legal immigration process. Through our journey, we’ve recognized the significant hurdles immigrants encounter. This realization inspired us to create this channel to connect with our Latino community, offering support and promoting adherence to the country’s regulations.

Our goal is to share practical tips and advice that can benefit our community, alleviating some of the burdens immigrants face and helping everyone work towards achieving the American dream we came here to pursue.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been easy; we’ve navigated through anxiety, depression, stress, and loneliness and some ways racism. We’ve come to understand that we must work harder than others to be seen and valued.

The hurdles of visa changes and constant renewals added to the strain.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
