Today, we’d like to introduce you to Becca Moore.
Hi Becca, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have always been an active person; I played softball all throughout my growing-up years. I can remember all of high school waking up at 3-4 am to workout before I would get ready for school. We also lived far away from town, so I had to get up much earlier than most kids. I played softball nearly every day; in the off-season, we would still do gym drills inside, as well as weight lifting. That is where my active lifestyle began. I then moved away for college in 2016 and was having a hard time not playing softball with my competitive drive.
That is when I found the gym and bodybuilding! I went to school while working multiple jobs but prioritized going to the gym every day. I also got my personal training certificate during this time and began training others. I finished cosmetology school while living in Idaho and made a move to Utah to finish my master’s in medical aesthetics. This is when I started competing! I wanted to give myself more of a challenge/get even more involved in the gym. After I started competing, I met my husband shortly after, who was also a bodybuilder and a coach. We started our own coaching company in 2021, Elevated Physiques.
We have now coached many athletes through their competitive journeys to the stage as well as many lifestyle athletes just wanting to live and learn a healthier lifestyle!
Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
It definitely has not been an easy road, but it has been a fun one! Working multiple jobs while competing was definitely difficult. I held off on competing while I was in Idaho because I worked four different jobs while going to school full-time. I still trained everyday and competing was always the goal, however I knew it wasn’t going to be a realistic thing until I was a little less busy and had a more normal sleep schedule.
I worked night shifts while in Idaho and when I first moved to Utah. Working overnight while going to school during the day was very difficult to navigate alone, training everyday and prepping all of my food to prepare for a show made it that much more difficult haha. Prioritizing, scheduling EVERYTHING, and keeping my eyes set on my goal kept me going and held me accountable. It also taught me a lot about coaching and how to help others succeed in their busy lives! If there is a will, there is a way. Nothing is impossible. You just have to want it bad enough.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My husband Matt and I started Elevated Physiques in 2021 because we wanted to have our own coaching company to represent all of the things we love about having a good coach in your corner. We coach both lifestyle and competitive clients on their fitness journeys, whether their goal is to live a healthier lifestyle/look and feel better or their goal is to make it to the competitive stage. We are both very passionate about fitness in all aspects.
I have been competing since 2019 myself and know how many obstacles you go through to get to the stage. I love coaching because I get to be that person to help them navigate through all of the things that life can throw at us while staying consistent to reach their goals. I am here to walk them through each and every step to reach them. Something that sets us apart is our customized experience for each client’s individual needs. There are many different ways to get to the same endpoint. What may work for one person may not work for another.
We are here to give sustainability and longevity to this lifestyle and to help you find a way to reach those goals that best fit you. We create customized meal plans, workout plans, and posing (competition specific) for each client based on their goals, things they like to eat on a regular basis, and their schedule. Something I am really proud of is the attention to detail we give, as well as our communication.
We want each client to have a very customized experience for each of their individual needs and support them through their fitness journeys!
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Having non-negotiables/boundaries, prioritizing, and scheduling everything! I am a very busy person and it is easy to let everything fall if you don’t set yourself up for success.
It is also easy to get overwhelmed and I absolutely have multiple times. Scheduling everything down to the day I do my laundry has helped me stay on track with everything every day and become as efficient as possible with my time.
