Meet Sarah Carlson of Sweat with Sarah

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Carlson.

Sarah Carlson

Hi Sarah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I decided to become a personal trainer in 2019 after learning about fitness and exercise through my weight loss journey!

I had been married for a year, and although I had grown up competitively dancing, I had never had to exercise outside of that, and after stopping, I quickly became uncomfortable with how I looked and felt. I learned how to lift weights and fell in love with how it made me feel strong and capable in and out of the gym!

I decided to become a trainer because I knew there were people out there who felt the same way I had. They were not confident, spinning their wheels with fad diets and workouts that were making them feel worse. I’ve been training clients via custom workout plans and macro counts for four years now and love it!!

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve definitely had my share of struggles. When I first decided I wanted to lose weight, I tried it all. Keto, paleo, intermittent fasting… none of them lasted and they all made me feel worse about my relationship with food.

I had no confidence in myself which made it even harder to stick to making changes. But by actually learning about food and their macronutrient breakdowns, I was able to learn how to eat in a way that makes me feel good!!

We’ve been impressed with Sweat with Sarah, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart?
I am a certified personal trainer and nutrition specialist, as well as a certified health education specialist, and I have a bachelor’s degree in health promotion! I take what I do very seriously and always try to learn more.

I specialize in Macro Coaching and have a cookbook I created with over 50 healthy, macro-friendly recipes I know you and your pickiest eaters will love!! I offer custom workout programs and macro counts tailored to fit you and your goals!
