Today we’d like to introduce you to Francisco Adriazola.

Francisco Adriazola

Hi Francisco, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We embarked on this journey about 3 years ago, initially focusing on training adults. However, we soon realized the true potential lay in the younger generation. In Utah, there needed to be more academies catering to this beautiful sport for kids. This realization fueled our mission to create a generation of Table Tennis youth champions across Utah while boosting the sport’s popularity. Over the past 2 years, we’ve participated in all the tournaments in the state, and our players have consistently graced the podium, a testament to their dedication and our unique training approach.

Please talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The main obstacle when you work with kids is their parents because they depend on them to come to practice. We have seen that several kids like the sport but need support from their parents to continue.

I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We teach how to play table tennis. Our focus is teaching kids so they can learn these skills when they are young, and then they can keep growing and developing themselves as they enjoy the experience. I am proud that our players are getting good results in local tournaments, and we want to keep improving to go to other states. We work hard. We practice 5 to 6 hours a week. We have different skill levels within our players, and we make sure they grow on the athletic side as well.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting?
I hope every kid can learn this sport. They will see that as they learn table tennis, they will develop their brain and gain more focus and concentration, which will also help them excel in the academic side of their lives.
