Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Walker
Hi Laura, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
When Covid hit I found myself cooped up in my house with lots of free time ! I’ve always really liked being creative so I took up a side gig creating content for brands online. After about a year I got into running. Running was a great outlet for me and I fell in love with it. I thought “hey i already know how to make videos i want to share my love of running with other people”! So in 2022 I started posting videos on my own social channels. My running videos expanded to include hair, outfits, and lifestyle content as well. I really love getting to share what makes me happy and meeting others who share the same interests !
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Anything but haha! Imposter syndrome is so real ! I remember getting invited to my first influencer event and thinking that every single person there was more talented than I was. I’ve learned a lot about being confident and true to myself and not comparing parts of my life to others. At the end of the day, social media is curated so it’s really important to remember that !
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I mostly share hairstyles, outfits, and running vlogs on TikTok and Instagram! I also create ads for brands to post on their own social media channels or websites! I’m most known for my hairstyles and I have so much fun creating that type of content ! I think i’m most proud of the fact that I took a chance on myself and have been able to do what really makes me happy! I think the combination of beauty & fitness is unique and I love sharing both !
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
To me success is found in being truly happy in your life. I think this looks so different for everyone but that’s what makes it so special. You define and create what makes you feel happy and proud of yourself !
