Today we’d like to introduce you to Camilla Aubrey
Hi Camilla, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Born from the passion of designer and entrepreneur, Camilla Aubrey, Pretty Good Nails seamlessly blends beauty, sustainability, and luxury. The brand empowers individuals to express their unique style while contributing to a greater cause. With a mission centered on giving back and protecting the earth, Pretty Good offers affordable, salon-quality press-on nails that can be easily applied at home or on the go, providing a cost-effective alternative to expensive & time-consuming salon visits.
The full product line includes high-quality press-on nails, accessories, and nail stickers, catering to people of all ages and lifestyles. Each purchase not only ensures stunning nails but also supports a cleaner environment, as a portion of the proceeds is dedicated to removing ocean plastic pollution. Pretty Good makes it easy to enjoy beautiful, durable nails while supporting a sustainable future.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Launching Pretty Good has been a journey of balancing struggles and celebrating successes for owner, Camilla Aubrey. Managing a small business while working a full-time corporate job has been a fun challenge to navigate, but the creative nature of Pretty Good motivates Camilla to continue pushing towards growth.
As a new small business, working within a limited marketing budget to maintain steady sales is also a challenge, but thanks to our loyal customers and content creators, we’ve seen huge growth on social media. Additionally, it’s been fun to connect with customers and other small business owners at local utah markets. Every step of this journey so far has been driven by a commitment to beauty, sustainability, and empowering individuals through beautiful, quality products at an affordable price-point.
Looking ahead, there is excitement about focusing on wholesale opportunities with other Utah-based businesses to expand our brand reach. With wholesale partnerships, we hope to introduce more people to the convenience and quality of Pretty Good nails and accessories, further solidifying our presence in the market.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Camilla Aubrey has been a professional designer for over 10 years—ranging from graphic design, product design, interior design, & photography. Pretty Good was born from her desire for something creative outside of her current role in the corporate tech world. With her unique artistic vision for femininity, softness and luxury, Pretty Good celebrates affordable beauty, sustainability, and makes it easy for busy-women like herself to achieve beautiful nails either at-home or on the go.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
In the journey of building Pretty Good, both luck and hard work have played pivotal roles. Hard work has been the cornerstone, fueling late nights of design, strategic planning, research, product testing, and relentless dedication to quality and growth. Luck has also woven its way into our story. We have been so lucky to connect with enthusiastic content creators who genuinely love and promote our product, as well as talented photographers, and models who helped our brand vision come to life. Without the help of other creatives in the community who have been kind enough to work with a small business, hard work alone could not have brought us to where we are today.
