Hi Shawn, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I lost a really good job, then started my YouTube channel as a precious metal prospector here in Utah. I’ve traveled to many different places and seen many different things in search of lost mines. I’ve collected many different ore samples from all over the area and learned how to refine each sample to gain the purest precious metals from those samples. I’ve also integrated into my YouTube channel many different custom projects and experiments that the old-timers used to use in refining there ore into precious metals.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it has not been a smooth road, I have been very sick and everything has been really hard for me as of recently. Even before I got ill, life has been very difficult because of the mass discrimination. One has to go through in order to obtain a good job and that is exactly why I decided to go my own route and try something different as a precious metal prospector. Hard rock mining is where it’s at. I like to go after the source and find where the alluvial and the eluvial deposits come from.
As you know, we’re big fans of Silver Spike Prospecting . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My specialty is refining ore extracted out of natural deposits into precious metals. Without the use of chemicals or a leaching processes. My professional process is strictly fire and heat like the old timers used roasting and smelting. Silver and silver refining is exactly what I’m known for. That is my specialty. What sets me apart from others in my same industry is the fact that I go after the source no matter where it is or how difficult it may be to find. I work with high sulphites ore and only use fire and heat to process it. Everybody else says it can’t be done and requires chemical leaching. I do it all the time without the use of chemicals. I’m more of an environmentally friendly, hard rock, miner and precious metals prospector. I have my own brand I make and use my own equipment. I’m offering education with my experience as well as entertainment on my YouTube channel and services on request in refining and processing ore.
