Check Out Spencer Rogich’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Spencer Rogich

Hi Spencer, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Spencer Rogich I am a celebrity tattoo artist.

During Covid I was let go of my sales job as the number one sales rep after selling the biggest deal in company history. it was a multi million dollar deal for the company. I was ok with this because I was teaching myself how to tattoo on the side. I would work my normal 9-5 job and then I would go tattoo at nights and on the weekend after I finished my normal sales job. I kept telling my clients I would eventually go full time. I had no idea what this would look like because I kept progressing further and further at my sales job and wasn’t really making anything when I first started tattooing.

This is the beginning part of my manifestation journey of becoming a celebrity tattoo artist. I was roughly a year into tattooing and my brand and demand continued to grow as I became more in demand. I started to go all in on TikTok and was close to giving up because there was no traction. I did one Star Wars tattoo that went viral. I went from 50 followers to 10,000 followers overnight, that changed my entire life! The next time I opened my books I had hundreds of emails come in, at that point I knew my life was about to change! I then opened a private studio called sorry mom tattoo, I mostly tattooed LDS people especially after the announcement that it was ok to get tattooed, so it was very fitting as they would say sorry mom!

After that I spoke on large stages, started to tattoo local celebrities such as Sean Whalen, I then went to tattoo one of my clients in Siesta Keys Florida at his private beach house estate. From there my brand continued to grow. I started collaborating with brands and growing my business. I really started to niche down in my tattoo style and learned from some of the best in the world, the style was very popular in Europe but wasn’t really adopted in the US yet. it still really hasn’t fully made it a way over yet. The style is surrealism fineline tattooing as well as large scale floral tattoos. I have been tattooing now for 4 years and plan to compete to go onto ink master next year.

Tattooing has taken me to places I could only dream about and now I am actually living that dream! I am also working on a course right now to teach people how to evolve in their tattooing career and become sought after all over the United States like I have done for myself. I plan on speaking on the biggest stages in the world to share my story and eventually write a book. My goal and mission is to help people realize their potential and really aim high and understand that they can achieve anything they set their mind to!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Oh man no, it definitely was not easy! When I started out I was sweating through so many tattoos, I would go onto Facebook marketplace and cleaning out my closet groups posting about my services. I would constantly get posts taken down, kicked out of groups. I didn’t care though I was willing to do whatever it takes! I was taking on projects I had no idea if I would be able to complete, there were tons of growing pains along the way.

I remember I would set new years goals every year. One of which was to do anything that I was afraid of. This helped me evolve faster than anything else. I remember a time where I cried in front of tons of tattoo artists I looked up to. I remember they asked for volunteers to go first so I volunteered to go first to talk about the things that were holding me back, negative self talk and I cried in front of everyone, that created a chasm where others went up and did the same thing, cried in front of everyone being as vulnerable as one could possibly get!

I would get a lot of hate on social media because I would do anonymous question boxes, I had to overcome a ton of adversity.
I served in the military though so I had thick skin and didn’t let it deter me from my goals.

I definitely have taken a path no one has traveled. I want to be a pioneer and pave the way for other tattoo artists to really be able to excel in their careers. I want to help other tattoo artists and creatives understand how to build a brand and allow their creativity to paint the exact life they want to live.

I view life as my canvas, so everything I do is how I express myself. I apply this to not only tattooing but investing and other business ventures as well.

Not an easy path but it’s so rewarding!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a surrealism fineline specialist as well as large fineline floral pieces.

What really sets me apart is my add brain, I can gather so many different ideas that people have and learn how to create a story in a surrealistic (dreamlike) way. I create pieces of art no one has ever seen before and can never be replicated.

I also studied the human body as I used to be a personal trainer, pro bodybuilder and a bodybuilding coach. I was originally going to school to be a physical therapist and then transferred to P.E. Teaching so I did all of the undergrad studies with people who went on to become drs. I have studied the body my entire adult life. This helps me really understand the body, understand the flow of the body. I make my tattoos look like they belong on the body and do it in an artistic fashion. Some people are great tattooers but don’t understand the flow of the body, I think that is my strong suit.

I also am very heavily involved in the metaphysical realm so I am very intuitive with my tattoos, I help people heal from trauma’s, help them excel in life. Tattooing is one of the most powerful things a person can do, it is a true form of alchemy. Ancient Egyptian goddesses would tattoo symbols into their body so they could get closer to their creators. I study this stuff and am also very intuitive in nature.

This is a crazy story but one of my clients was struggling to get pregnant so I did an intuitive spine tattoos for her, I included different types of occult symbols (ancient symbols) one of which was fertility, she got pregnant her next trimester!

I am not saying I am a wizard but I am not not saying I am a wizard either.

Tattooing is an energy transfer and I ensure I add practices in my life to ensure I stay high vibe for all of my clients!

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
Risk taking is everything! In the beginning I mentioned I got fired from my job. I was actually given a choice to either conform with some things or I would be let go. I decided they didn’t align with my moral beliefs so I let them fire me. With that I also let an 80k guaranteed commission check pass me by as well.

Reaching out to Sean Whalen after tattooing for only a year, another huge risk.

If you don’t risk anything you will never know what could be on the other side. I could go on and on about all of the risks I have taken but the biggest one is letting a company fire me and turning down an 80k commission check to go after something that I had only been doing for 6 months and was barely making any money. This is also something I got my bachelors degree in, professional sales at Weber state university, now that was risky!
