Rising Stars: Meet Brittany Giaccani of Riverton, Utah

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Giaccani

Hi Brittany, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I first started on IG in 2013 when my oldest child was a newborn and I was making bows for her. I grew a small following on IG, posting all sorts of mom related content. But during Covid I made a TikTok account and my first couple of videos went viral. I was posting mom life type content, “mom hacks” and cute baby videos – at this point I had a 9 year old, 2 year old, and a newborn. My account really took off in 2023 when I started posting budget meal recipes. I created something called The $40 Dinner Week and was creating an entire meal plan to feed 7 people, for one week of dinners. I’ve gone on to fall into a few different niches, mostly Food, Mom Hacks, DIY, and Autism (our 3.5 year old is autistic). Some of my most viral videos are diaper reviews! Doing what I like to call a “pour challenge” to see how much liquid each brand of diaper holds. I’ve also found a huge following with moms who love the juice brand Good2Grow, where I post hacks and crafts reusing the juice bottles.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The growth on TikTok happened naturally! The only real challenges you encounter when starting to grow on social media are the people who are not very nice. I’ve learned to have a thick skin!

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
The first business that I started was in 2014, as a stay at home mom, selling handmade boutique baby items. It was very successful and kept me very busy! Lots of late nights and early mornings hand-cutting and sewing clothing, leather baby shoes, and headbands. In 2017 I stepped away from that business, and went back to work. I worked as a Special Education Teachers Aid at Kauri Sue Hamilton (in Riverton, Utah) until 2022 when I again chose to be a stay at home mom to my three kids. My husband and I have recently started a new woodworking business, and hoping to find success in that industry!

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up I was painfully shy. I was definitely not outgoing, and had a very very small group of friends. My dream as a little girl was just being a mom! I wasn’t particularly interested in sports, and didn’t have any real hobbies to speak of. I was a major bookworm, and loved to spend time tagging along with whatever my mom was doing.
