Today we’d like to introduce you to Sadie Bowler
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Girls are constantly told they are not enough. Our routines become about “fixing” our appearance and become mundane and exhausting. My sister Abby and I reimagined a brand that didn’t tell us what we needed to fix, but just helped us take care of ourselves, body + mind. At SadieB, we introduce a personal care routine that is about just that– CARE. Turns out it can be really fun to take care of yourself and you don’t have to do it alone.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not! Abby and I are learning everything for the first time. We make mistakes along the way, just like any good entrepreneur does. We have gotten kicked out of our warehouse, had product stuck in the long-beach port for months, been denied awards because we “had too many connections”, made mistakes on our bottle artwork, and miscalculated our inventory. That said, we have not only made it through every one of those challenges, but learned along the way. These mistakes have taught us so much about everything from supply chain to self-confidence.

SadieB Personal Care is a Public Benefit Corporation. We donate 1% of our revenue to support girls’ mental health.
SadieB is the first personal care brand made with a girl’s best interest in mind. We very intentionally call ourselves a “personal care” brand as opposed to a “beauty” brand. With our innovative product approach we give girls the opportunity to really take care of themselves as opposed to telling them what they need to “fix” about their appearance. Our products are salon-grade, formulated with clean ingredients, and packaged with sustainable materials.
We are most proud of launching our hair care nationwide into 500+ Target stores only 1.5 years after our initial website launch!

How do you think about happiness?
Abby and I both find happiness in many things! Like many, we find joy in supporting others and growing in our own personal development. SadieB is a huge way we are able to do both of those things. Through our social impact mission to support girls’ mental health and learning on the job everyday, we find that growth leads us to a very happy and fulfilling journey.
